Cubs:

Children begin their journey at The Cottage Nursery in our Cubs room. This room caters for children aged 3 months to 18 months old. Our practitioners will work alongside you to create a home-from-home environment tailored to their individual needs and routines. Our practitioners love to use open-ended resources and sensory activities to encourage a curiosity to explore the world around them.

Tigers:

Once your child is confidently on the move, they will move to our Tigers room. This room caters from children aged between 18 months and 2 ½ years old. This room is thoughtfully designed for busy toddlers and gives them plenty of exciting opportunities to spark their curiosity and develop early problem solving skills. Our practitioners will support children’s growing independence as they begin to learn skills such as feeding themselves and potty training.

Panthers:

Our Panthers room cares for children between 2 and 3 years old. Our practitioners provide children with lots of opportunities to express their imagination and begin developing their sense of self. Children in this room are free to explore everything from construction and role play to musical instruments and our cosy story corner. Our Panthers will also begin to develop positive peer interactions and emotional regulation with the nurturing support from our practitioners.

Lions:

Children will join our Lions room in their final year at The Cottage Nursery, before starting school. Here we offer a rich variety of resources and learning opportunities that encourage children to lead their own play, while our practitioners thoughtfully create activities to extend their ideas. Our practitioners support children’s individual development to foster independence and a love for learning so they are ready for their new adventure to school.

Outdoor play:

The adventure continues outside. We are passionate about providing children with a chance to explore the great outdoors with our carefully designed gardens for each age group. Children in our Lions room benefit from a weekly Forest School session where they learn more about nature and the environment. Beyond the nursery, children are taken on regular trips in the local environment to learn more about nature and community.

“I couldn't wish for a better nursery. Loving, warm staff, plenty of variety and time outside and all of the profit gets ploughed back into the nursery which is always evolving. What's not to love?”
